"I want to find others who where born to fly"

Q. How old were you when you started circus training?
I didn’t start my circus journey until i was 27, I was performing in Dubai at a spectacular place called Global Village. In some amazing versatile dance productions shows, surrounded by circus performers it opened my eyes to a whole new world of fun, and from there i began adding to my current performance base of dance and musical theatre with stilts, aerial hoop, poi spinning and more. I truly believe you can pick up and learn these skills from any age.

Q. Whats your favourite circus discipline?
Oh that’s a hard one, but i guess it would have to be aerial hoop. I have focused a lot of time honing in on the skills, strength and discipline it takes to get to a certain level on the hoop,I wanted to take the time and really study it before performing and calling myself an aerialist. The dedication and strength required is unparalleled to anything else I’ve done before. Thats also why i really enjoy teaching aerial hoop, watching peoples journeys is incredible, I want to find performers who where born to fly

Q. Besides teaching dance & circus what else do you do?
I am currently still performing, a lot of my time is taken up by travelling up and down the country for different gigs and live shows. Flying abroad every now and then for events is really exciting too. Just recently Ben and i went to Singapore to perform at the F1 Grand Prix, we were so grateful to be a part of such an awesome event. My love for performing will always be with me, once you’ve felt the exhilaration of being on stage and the goosebumps you get from an audience of thousands clapping and cheering, it will never leave you.

Q. You’ve performed all over the world, is there a particular show that sticks out?

Another hard question to answer as I’ve enjoyed so many of my adventures, however one that sticks out would be a collaboration show i was part of in Israel. Two pop singers Omer Adam and Moshe Perez fused their sound and the beats of tap and Irish, forming a spectacular show that toured huge arenas in Israel to thousands of fans. It was amazing to perform in some fantastic venues to so many people.

Q. What experience do you have working with children?
I first started teaching children when i was studying for my teaching qualifications, as part of the module we needed to show evidence of teaching. I was only 19 but seeing the children get so excited, learning dance and grow was so fulfilling i knew i wanted to become a teacher. It didn’t however really come into play until mid way through my career as i was off dancing and travelling the world.
I then taught at various dance schools around the country, some part as one off workshops and others over a period of 6months to a year. I also had the privilege of being asked back to teach at the Dance college i trained at. Since teaching workshops in schools all over the country I cannot wait to teach locally and build our AOM family.
